Most importantly, we are passionate about our work—and it shows. We design, code, debug and publish every web page ourselves. Founder, Principal + CEO
With degrees in Poetry and French from Northwestern University, it’s safe to say that Beth stumbled into marketing—and her specialty, healthcare. But after 15 years of first-hand experience with hospitals and physicians, she is an expert in marketing from every angle: website and email campaign management, writing and proofreading, CRM and direct mail programs, analytics, advertising and analysis.
She founded Beth Interactive to fulfill her passion of helping companies large and small make their online presence match the quality of their services. After living in Bochum, Germany for three years, she moved back to Chicago in September 2013 to be closer to clients, family and friends… though she deeply misses traveling and speaking German.
Director of Strategy
Heidi is a theatre geek, originally from North Dakota, with 9+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She combines her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Nonprofit Administration degrees into a powerhouse for businesses and non-profits looking to engage with clients and donors. Her love of reading and theatrics has honed her into a well-spoken and out-spoken advocate for those who entrust her to represent their brand. She enjoys strategizing with clients on how to get the most out of their fundraising.
In Heidi’s spare time, she can be found sipping fine tequilas and brushing up on her Spanish with the hopes of someday speaking it more regularly. She is also spellbound by the Rocky Mountains and has the tattoo to prove it.
Marketing + Fundraising Strategist
Jenna is a marketing and development professional with 6 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. A passionate storyteller and instinctual community builder, Jenna is committed to helping her clients bring their fundraising efforts to life. She is a graduate of Knox College, where she earned her Bachelors in English Literature—and happily learned more about Jane Austen than anyone ever really needs to know.
After business hours, Jenna enjoys singing with the Apollo Chorus of Chicago—where she also serves on the Board of Directors, going on urban “photo safaris,” listening to jazz, experimenting in the kitchen and sipping fancy scotch.
Director of Content Strategy
Allison is a relationship builder and skilled communicator. Her 5+ years of working, volunteering and even living in the non-profit sector developed her passion for change-makers. Her degrees in Writing, Rhetoric and Discourse and Communication and Media give her the powers of wordsmithery that transform enthusiasm into action—connecting non-profits and businesses with donors and clients to create an impact in their communities.
In her free time, Allison indulges her sense of adventure like a local tourist by searching for her newest favorite modern art exhibit, bar trivia night or stationery shop.
Head of Operations
After “dabbling” in the design of alloys and engineering self-driving car systems, Nick joined Beth Interactive to run the company operations while supporting its team and clients. Nick brings his 8+ years of business management along with 15+ years of solving science, engineering and data challenges to the BII team. He has a passion for data, systems design and finding operational efficiencies.
Nick received his Bachelor’s degree from Creighton University (Omaha, NE) and his Ph.D. in Physics from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). Nick was a founding officer of Beth Interactive and has supported its growth since 2010. He and his wife (Beth) love to cook and travel the world. Nick enjoys skiing and running with his two daughters… usually chasing after them.
Fundraising + Marketing Specialist
Kaleigh is an analytical thinker with a passion for health care. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors in Quantitative Methods in Public Health and minors in Business Administration and Spanish. The combination of Kaleigh’s prior work at UA Cancer Center and as a COVID contact tracer provides professional experience that spans the non-profit sector, community health programming, event coordination, donor relationship building, research and data analysis.
Kaleigh is happy to find her place at Beth Interactive with a talented team that brings people access to quality health care. Kaleigh has lived in France, Arizona, Utah and Virginia, but she is native to northern Illinois and excited to be back in the Midwest. She enjoys a great cup of tea, quality time with friends and family and making future plans for international travel.
Copywriter + Fundraising Specialist
A lover of words and numbers, Meg happily fills her days writing copy, as well as collecting and analyzing data. Her background studying and deconstructing social inequities fuels her passion for healthcare fundraising, because it increases access to quality medical care—something everyone deserves.
Having grown up in multiple regions of the country and moving several times throughout her life, Meg is thrilled to have found a home in Chicago and at Beth Interactive. Outside of work, she serves on the associate board of a local nonprofit, rollerblades along the Lakefront Trail, drinks wine on her patio and reads as many books as possible.
Lauren Short, CFRE
Director of Content Strategy
Lauren has a decade of career experience in project management, public relations and communications, volunteer leadership, and non-profit development. Our clients benefit from Lauren’s healthcare expertise and her innate ability to build strategies that elevate individual tactics to long-term, sustainable mission impact. Her love for brain teasers and word puzzles translates to a professional knack for problem-solving and a constant pursuit of growth opportunities.
Lauren earned her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Finance and a MBA in Healthcare Administration. She serves on the board of directors for several local civic organizations. Lauren enjoys walking, biking or hiking with her husband and son, but during winters she is more likely to be found baking or curled up with a book and a glass of wine.
Director of Technical Services
Fueled by caffeine and questionable taste in music, Brandon has spent his life in the arts. From drawing weird portraits, painting murals, making t-shirts, albums and posters to building websites, he enjoys every part of the creative process. He now uses his degree in Art, Media and Culture to design sweet-looking emails that get results and develops effective online fundraising campaigns across different platforms.
He first started working with Beth Interactive while living in Chicago, but moved to New England so he could brainstorm marketing and fundraising strategy while roaming the hinterland. Feel free to contact him to discuss email best practices or your favorite G.I. Joe character.

Inspired by Chicago’s nonprofit network, Kendra is passionate about Beth Interactive’s work supporting healthcare foundations and other organizations. She brings her 10+ years of experience as a social worker, educator, program manager and fundraising professional to the team. With strengths in communication and organization, Kendra loves to learn new skills and technology and bring innovative ideas to projects.
Kendra has both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work and is a Chicagoland native, currently living on the North side in Lincoln Square with her husband and kids. She enjoys vacationing to other cities (especially if they’re surrounded by mountains), geeking out about urban planning, and has recently taken up gardening as a new hobby.
